Marycola's First Hub

I'm an mature woman of 56 yrs. I have lived 25 yrs on my land have raised my children and grandchildren here. I work my land myself now. During the summer months I plant an garden, saw, cut firewood for the winter months. I'm an healthy fit woman because I still work my land and have the joy of still being able to do the hard labor that comes with owning my land. I look out over the land and see the beauty that the land beholds. The land is my home , its also the home of many animals I watch daily. For awhile I had a family of racoons , deers, many other wild life .who came and visit every day and night, till about 39 acres of woods were cut down a few months back. When the neigbors had their trees cut down, it took the homes of many wild lifes away. It saddens me to see the woods cut down to build housing developements.. Yes progress must go on. There will be a day when the beauty will be gone.
